Article 57 of the GCC Common VAT Agreement stipulates the procedure for amending a Tax Invoice following an adjustment to the Supply Consideration. A Taxable Person must issue a correcting document, such as a credit or debit note, which serves as an amended Tax Invoice. The Agreement specifies that this correcting document shall be treated with the same legal validity as the original Tax Invoice. The precise procedures for issuing and processing these credit or debit notes are to be determined by each Member State's domestic legislation.
